Landscape construction is where the excavation meets the finish work. We build across Whidbey Island, Island County and north into Skagit County: retaining walls and rockeries, paver patios and walkways, steps, planting beds, and the grading and drainage that keep all of it from moving.
The difference between hardscape that lasts twenty years and hardscape that heaves in three is entirely underneath it. Proper excavation, a compacted base, and somewhere for water to go. We do that part properly, then build on top of it, and we pair it with drainage and grading.

Most retaining walls that lean, bulge, or fall did not fail because the blocks were weak. They failed because water built up behind them with nowhere to go, and saturated soil is enormously heavy.
We build walls with drainage behind them and the right backfill, on an excavated and compacted base. On island slopes with till underneath and water moving sideways, that is not a detail, it is the whole job.
A paver patio is only as flat as what is under it in five years. Strip the organics, build the base, compact it, and give the water a route out. Skip any of that and it settles, puddles, and heaves.
We already own the equipment that does the heavy part properly, so the excavation and base are not an afterthought subbed out to whoever was available.

We come out and look at the actual ground — the growth, the slope, the wet spots, the access — listen to what you want done, and give you a straight, written estimate. No pressure, and no guessing at a price over the phone.
We lock in a date, plan equipment access and where the debris goes, and account for drainage, buried utilities, and anything on the property that has to be protected. You know the plan before a machine moves.
Our own crew runs our own machines, and Jeff is on-site. We keep the ground under control, keep you posted, and read what we find as we dig instead of forcing the plan through it.
We walk the finished property with you, deal with the debris the way the plan called for, and leave the ground clean, graded, and draining — ready for whatever you are building next.
