Owner Jeff Culver came up building custom homes on this island, working alongside his father, a journeyman carpenter, on the family farm. That is an unusual way into dirt work, and it shows. He knows how a foundation gets formed and poured, what framing and utilities need, and how water will move across a property for the next twenty years. Today Whidbey Dirt Works is a registered Washington general contractor — licensed, bonded and insured — owner-operated, and still run the same simple way: answer the phone, walk the property, give you a straight price, and put our own machines and our own operators on the job. We are based on the island, so there are no ferry delays and no out-of-town crews. We work all of Whidbey, Camano Island, and north into Skagit County, and we are available 24/7 when a storm can't wait for business hours.
