Land Clearing
Full lot and acreage clearing: trees, brush, blackberry, stumps, and fence lines taken back to clean, buildable ground.
Learn MorePonds are excavation projects that have to hold water, and that is a much harder problem than digging a hole. We build ponds across Whidbey Island, Island County and north into Skagit County — excavating and shaping the basin, setting the liner where the ground will not hold on its own, and handling inlets, outlets, and overflow so the water level behaves.
Whidbey's glacial soils cut both ways. Dense till can hold water beautifully; sand and outwash will drain a pond dry no matter how deep you dig. Knowing which one you have before you start is most of the job, and it starts with an honest look at the ground.

That is the first question, and the answer decides the whole project. Some island ground is dense enough to hold a pond on its own. Plenty of it is not, and a pond dug into sand or outwash simply drains.
We look at what is actually under the site before promising anything. Where the ground will not hold, a properly installed liner does, and it needs a clean, smooth, well-shaped basin under it to survive.
A pond without a plan for inflow and overflow is a future washout. Heavy rain has to be able to leave somewhere controlled, or it will pick its own exit through the bank.
We build the inlet, outlet, and overflow into the design and tie them into the property's drainage. Ponds near wetlands, streams, or shoreline can carry real permitting requirements, and we will raise that before we dig, not after.

(360) 632-5159From the first walkthrough to the final one, here’s exactly how your project runs.
We come out and look at the actual ground — the growth, the slope, the wet spots, the access — listen to what you want done, and give you a straight, written estimate. No pressure, and no guessing at a price over the phone.
We lock in a date, plan equipment access and where the debris goes, and account for drainage, buried utilities, and anything on the property that has to be protected. You know the plan before a machine moves.
Our own crew runs our own machines, and Jeff is on-site. We keep the ground under control, keep you posted, and read what we find as we dig instead of forcing the plan through it.
We walk the finished property with you, deal with the debris the way the plan called for, and leave the ground clean, graded, and draining — ready for whatever you are building next.
