Land Clearing
Full lot and acreage clearing: trees, brush, blackberry, stumps, and fence lines taken back to clean, buildable ground.
Learn MoreIf water is standing in your yard, running under your house, or cutting a channel down your driveway, it is a drainage problem and it will not fix itself. We design and install drainage across Whidbey Island, Island County and north into Skagit County: French drains, footing and curtain drains, infiltration systems, catch basins, culverts, and the regrading that makes any of it work.
Drainage on Whidbey Island is its own animal. Dense glacial till under the topsoil means water often cannot soak in — it perches and travels sideways until it finds a foundation. Fixing that takes someone who knows the ground, not someone who buries pipe and hopes. Most drainage jobs start with honest grading.

People assume rain soaks in. On a lot of this island it does not. Under the topsoil sits dense, compacted glacial till that water moves through very slowly. So the water perches on top of it, runs downhill underground, and comes out wherever it can — the low corner of the lot, the crawlspace, the base of the driveway.
That means a drainage fix has to intercept water where it is actually moving, not just where it is pooling. We find the path first. Burying a pipe in the wrong place is an expensive way to change nothing.
Standing water against a foundation is the most expensive problem on this list. It saturates the soil, loads the wall, gets into the crawlspace, and quietly ruins framing and air quality. It also compounds — the wetter the ground stays, the worse it drains.
Because Jeff builds houses, he knows what footing drains are supposed to do and what happens when they were never installed or got crushed during backfill. We fix the cause, not the symptom, and we grade the surface so it stops feeding the problem.

(360) 632-5159From the first walkthrough to the final one, here’s exactly how your project runs.
We come out and look at the actual ground — the growth, the slope, the wet spots, the access — listen to what you want done, and give you a straight, written estimate. No pressure, and no guessing at a price over the phone.
We lock in a date, plan equipment access and where the debris goes, and account for drainage, buried utilities, and anything on the property that has to be protected. You know the plan before a machine moves.
Our own crew runs our own machines, and Jeff is on-site. We keep the ground under control, keep you posted, and read what we find as we dig instead of forcing the plan through it.
We walk the finished property with you, deal with the debris the way the plan called for, and leave the ground clean, graded, and draining — ready for whatever you are building next.
