Demolition in Whidbey Island, WA

Demolition · Whidbey Island, WA

Down, Hauled, and Clean

Demolition across Whidbey Island, Island County and north into Skagit County: old houses, barns and outbuildings, failed foundations, concrete slabs, and fire-damaged structures. We take it down in a controlled way, sort and haul the debris, and leave a clean site instead of a pile of somebody else's problem.

The demolition is rarely the point — what comes next is. So we demo with the rebuild in mind: protect what stays, keep access usable, and hand the site over ready for excavation or a fresh grade.

What We Handle

  • House & structure demolition
  • Barns, sheds & outbuildings
  • Foundation & slab removal
  • Concrete and asphalt breakout
  • Fire and storm damage clearing
  • Debris sorting & haul-off
  • Selective and partial demolition
  • Site left clean and graded

Controlled, Not Careless

Demolition next to something you are keeping is a different job than demolition in an open field. On tight island lots there is usually a well, a septic field, a neighbor's fence, or a stand of trees that has to survive the day.

We plan the drop, protect what stays, and keep the site controlled. Utilities get located and disconnected properly before anything comes down. That is not optional, and it is where careless demo crews cause real damage.

The Debris Is Most of the Job

Anyone can knock a building over. Getting it off the property is the expensive, unglamorous part, and it is what separates a finished demo from a mess. We sort what can be sorted, load it out, and haul it.

Older structures can contain materials that require special handling, and that is a real question worth asking before demolition day rather than during it. We will tell you straight when a structure warrants testing first.

How We Work

What Working With Whidbey Dirt Works Looks Like

From the first walkthrough to the final one, here’s exactly how your project runs.

1

Walk the Property & Free Estimate

We come out and look at the actual ground — the growth, the slope, the wet spots, the access — listen to what you want done, and give you a straight, written estimate. No pressure, and no guessing at a price over the phone.

2

Plan & Schedule

We lock in a date, plan equipment access and where the debris goes, and account for drainage, buried utilities, and anything on the property that has to be protected. You know the plan before a machine moves.

3

The Work

Our own crew runs our own machines, and Jeff is on-site. We keep the ground under control, keep you posted, and read what we find as we dig instead of forcing the plan through it.

4

Final Walk & Cleanup

We walk the finished property with you, deal with the debris the way the plan called for, and leave the ground clean, graded, and draining — ready for whatever you are building next.

FAQ

Demolition Questions, Answered

Common questions about demolition across Whidbey Island & Island County. Don't see yours? Give us a call — we're happy to help.

Call (360) 632-5159

Do I need a permit to demolish a building?
Usually, and the requirements depend on your jurisdiction and the structure. Utility disconnects and, for older buildings, hazardous material questions typically come into it. We will walk you through what your property needs before we start.
Do you remove the foundation and slab too?
Yes. Leaving an old foundation in the ground creates problems for whatever you build next. We break it out, haul it, and backfill and grade the hole.
Can you demolish part of a structure and keep the rest?
Yes. Selective demolition is common on remodels and additions. It takes more care and more time than a full teardown, and we price it that way.
What about fire-damaged buildings?
We handle them. Fire debris needs careful sorting and disposal, and the site usually needs a real cleanup pass afterward, not just a scrape.
